We were sad for our summer trip to end, but our type A brains were also excited for the chance to return to routines and normalcy. It was so hard to say goodbye to everyone. We miss them so much and hope to see them all again soon.
We packed, cleaned, did laundry, and then headed to Salt Lake City (not necessarily in that order). I wanted to make sure we got to see my aunt Lori before we left town. She let us stay at her place and then she drove us to the airport at 4:00 a.m. She also took us to dinner at an amazing Mexican place. Yum. The food was authentic and spicy.
The plane rides home went perfectly and Abby was a great traveler. She even slept on the flights. We had to do some finagling to be able to sit together. We all had separate seats. Luckily, (or maybe not so luckily...) nobody wanted to spend an entire flight with a stranger's three-year-old. Everyone was very willing to accommodate our seat changes.
She is SO adorable, or adorbs, as they say.
What a good traveler.
We were so happy to find some terrazo flooring in the Dallas airport so that we could show Abigail what the 'minerals' her grandmother gave her are used for.
Really, she was fabulous and entertained herself well.
We are done traveling for a while, but would love visitors.
