We camped very close to the falls. We packed as light as we are able to do and did minimal cooking. We enjoy camping and even still sleep in a tent. Abigail saw a bear sign across the road warning us that there are bears in the area, in another camp spot and then commented that she was glad the bears were over there and not in our camping spot. :)

The next morning one of the other campers said that he had seen a bear that morning at around 6:30 a.m. walk right past our tent and onto the path. I am hoping that he was just being a sensationalist. I don't like the idea of a bear walking near us.

She is now big enough to help set up the tent.

She looks so grown up here.

We went to a reptile show and learned so much about reptiles. Abby was fascinated, as were we. The presenter pulled out lots of snakes, a lizard, and this large tortoise.

He taught us about King snakes and about how they kill other snakes. He said that he once saw rattlers around his property. He promptly went snake hunting and collected many king snakes which he then relocated to his house. He no longer sees rattlers anywhere.

We of course had to make s'mores.

So good.

She was playing in the tent with her ponies, but refused to pose for a picture. I love these foam beds. They take up a lot of room in our car, but they are so soft to sleep on.
