Peacock

I found this peacock on my white board. I kind of love it.

She later added to the drawing. Can you guess what the four-legged animals are? Zebras. The cutest zebras ever.

Here she is at the park pretending to be a newly hatched baby dragon.

Here she is practicing her flying lessons. New dragons must learn to fly.

Waiting for dad at the college.

We also spent some time hanging around the fountain.

Hoo Owl

I took on a fun sewing project for my new niece. I decided to make her a stuffed owl. I researched several different ideas on pinterest (like this one: http://www.etsy.com/listing/107824528/oliver-the-owl-stuffed-owl-plush-toy) and combined many of them to come up with this:

I had so much fun making it and loved how it turned out. I only wish that it had been bigger.

Preschool

She would rather sweep and practice using the dustpan than play any other game.

Benjamin took Abby to the annual corn hole tournament at the college. It was the math department against the government department. I think the government people need to practice a little more before next year.....

We colored water on Tuesday and then froze it into ice cubes. On Thursday we practiced mixing colors and the girls enjoyed their colorful drinks.

Beautiful Spring

We went on a nice walk and practiced counting.

Then we had tray time out in the backyard on a blanket.

They found a ladybug and were entertained by it for twenty minutes.

Our shape was a trapezoid. I used the Styrofoam board and the golf tees and rubber bands to help the girls make trapezoids. They loved it. They loved how they could flip the band to make it vibrate and we played some music. Abigail was fascinated by this project and kept working on it and making new shapes while the other girls did other works.

This was a beautiful way to end preschool. I love nice weather. I've enjoyed working with these girls this year and am so proud of them and their growth this year.

Alphabet Review Week

We practice mixing colors here. They first colored small round birds all over their papers. Then I had them paint some of the birds red and some blue. Then they mixed the two colors together and they painted the rest of the birds purple.

I had the girls write down the numbers for the hopscotch game. The weather was perfect.

It was such a fun day, I was sad to think that this was my last week of preschool this year.
