Jelly Bean Fun

I really liked this jelly bean graphing idea which was from the confessionsofahomeschooler alphabet curriculum. The girls had to count the beans, sort the beans, and then graph how many we found of each color. We should do this more often. It was a great learning activity, and tasty too.

We continue to find lots of creative ways to build with the magnatiles.

Reindeer hand and footprints. I found the idea here: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/134685845077694145/

I also thought that it would be a good idea to make cinnamon ornaments with the girls. It was a good idea, but it was a lot of work on my end. I would say that this is probably not a preschool craft. The way to make these is to mix applesauce with cinnamon. Then you roll your dough out, cut out ornaments, and let them dry. Make sure to poke a hold in the top to hang the ornament from. Then the ornaments can be hung on the tree and will add a nice smell.
Here are some pictures of our attempts at making these. The good news is that nobody tried to eat them this time, not even Ben. :) You can find a recipe here: http://www.completelydelicious.com/2012/11/homemade-cinnamon-ornaments.html
